National Park, 940 sq.kms of wilderness lies in the heart of Madhya Pradesh.

in a large, dense forest belt forming the northern fringe of the natural Teak
forest, with an area of 533 sq.kms.

picturesque Siliserh Lake lies along the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve and
a charming hunting lodge overlooking it, is a marvelous place for visitors to
stay.
Kaziranga
National Park is spread over an area of 430 sq. kms consisting of dense forest,
rugged reeds, marshes and shallow pools. Elephant grass grows up to a few meters
making it an ideal grazing ground for the famed One Horned Rhinoceros.
Set
high in the ranges of the Western Ghats, in Kerala, is the Periyar National
Park and Tiger Reserve. The park has a picturesque lake at the heart of the
sanctuary. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir meanders
around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a perennial source of water
for the local wildlife. Herds of elephant and sambar, gaur and wild pigs wander
down to the lakeside and can be observed from the launches that cruise the lake.
In March and April, during the driest period here, the animals spend a lot of
time near the lake and the elephants can be seen bathing and swimming in the
reservoir.
Islands
covered with green, distributaries of black water separating them, tigers reigning
over the land and crocodiles over the waters along with sharks. This is Sundarban.
Poisonous snakes of several species are in plenty and dot the islands. Sundarban
is the only jungle near any metropolis in India. It covers a land area of 2585
sq km, with a core area of 1330 sq km. This 9th tiger sanctuary of India was
declared in 1984 as a National Park. There are 251 Royal Bengal tigers in this
sanctuary. It is the biggest mangrove forest in India.
Located
among the low, undulating and excellently irrigated hills in the Junagadh district
of Gujarat,The Gir National Park is famous for being the last existing natural
home of the Asiatic lion, although it has a healthy population of other animal
species too. The Gir forest covers an area of 1150 square kilometers with 300
square kilometers forming the core area of the national park.
sanctuary
on October 01, 1928 and was designated a World Heritage site in December 1985.
The sanctuary is home to a great variety of wildlife, including tiger, Golden
Langur, Wild Buffalo, Hispid Hare, Pigmy Hog, Capped Langur, Indian one-horned
Rhinoceros, Elephant, Gaur, Hog Deer, etc.
Nestling
in the lower southern reaches of the Satpura hills is named after Pench river
which flows from north to south through the Pench National Park. It is located
on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh.
Nestled
at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas, Nameri National Park covers an area of
